once upon a time, like 8 years ago, i got addicted to a videogame called Soul Edge.

I frequently used the German warrior Seigfried as my fighting character.
His story at the end of the game unfurled with him acquiring and becoming corrupted by the Soul Edge, the cursed sword that lived off the souls of its owner and the beings he slays.

He became Nightmare in the game's sequel Soul Calibur.

and I built a foam rubber costume to recreate the Nightmare armor but was terribly unsatisfied with what i made because i had limited skills and resources.

Thru the years it would become one of my cosplay goals to One Day make a better rendition of Nightmare's armor, constantly experimenting with small parts for this-and-that costume, slowly building up my workmanship and discipline.

I finally remade the Nightmare on October 2004 for a videogame convention's cosplay.
